Pension Rules

From 6 April 2006 (which is commonly known as A-Day), the government brought in a set of new rules designed to simplify pensions and to try and encourage people to save more money in their pension plans. This set of rules was introduced following the Pensions and Finance Act 2004, and formed the most significant overhaul of the pension industry since the introduction of the 'Old Age Pension' way back in 1909.
